Can you believe this guy? First he accuses me of plagiarism on DSF’s facebook page, because he read an obscure Roald Dahl story from 50 years ago that also has cannibals in it. Then he provides a link to the much better story.

First of all, there’s no real similarity between the two stories (and even though I’ve read several collections of Dahl’s adult fiction, I’ve never seen “In The Ruins.”) Second, what a colossal jerk move.

Not that I’m very fond of “Meat and Fire” myself. I frankly don’t think the story really works, and I think its kind of cruel and unsettling to no real purpose. I just wanted to do Cormac McCarthy in one-syllable words.

Nothing remarkable to report. Born in suburbs. Diffidently educated. Used to do other jobs, now he does this one. Fancies self a writer.
