I feel like there’s a pretty good market for short stories. And there’s lots of places to submit them to, lots being published, rejections/acceptances come pretty quickly and you can move on.
What do you do with a novel? I have no clue!
(the sensible thing to do would be to give up this nonsensical fiction writing, get a weekend job, and start putting money away. But Man was never a rational animal.)
