One note on this development: it isn’t every day that one’s story gets chosen as the basis for a movie, and I feel very lucky, and grateful to Chad Harris who contacted me about optioning “Cratch” for a film. Writers these days generally feel undervalued, to say the least, and it was great to work with someone who’s so upfront, who looks for stories in good magazines, and who treats a writer with respect, generosity, and frankness. Chad, thanks again. I hope you get to make the film according to your vision, and I hope it’s successful.
(Also, rest assured that when the film comes out, I will be telling everybody, and I mean everybody, to go see it!)
